BELGIUM - day 2 - after bus tour

All that picture taking has worked up an appetite.
So when we Hopped Off, we headed for an outdoor lunch café.
We ate a simple but tasty sandwich and had a drink to go along with it.
After lunch we walked back to the hotel to take a rest and then get up for dinner.

Every restaurant serves french fries.  It must be a national dish.
If you have the time, here is an interesting write up about the fries -

And most restaurants were offering steamed mussels and everybody was eating them so naturally..........

However, Jens is not big on sea food but like me, he loves beskeddie.

After dinner we head back to the hotel.
We can't walk off the meal because this restaurant
was just out front of the hotel and besides, everything is so close.
But I was not ready to turn in just yet so I took a little late evening walk anyway.
I stepped into The Church of Notre-Dame de Bon Secours de Bruxelles
and snapped the underside of the dome.  It's also the church just across the street
from where we sat and had coffee after viewing Manneken Pis.
Click the link to see more pix of this church from the web.

Further on down the road I came across this café / bar that looked so out of place.
It was little Denmark serving Danish Beer.

And then back to the wonderful square for some magical, evening lighting.

And don't forget to click onto the highlight train tour to Brugge.
