California Dreamin' part 19 - Grand Park Downtown Civic Center

This is where we started the day.   The Metro station is Civic Center/Grand Park.  It's really a nice way to get to the center of downtown LA without a car and you can easily walk to the highlights of the city. (see the map I have enclosed below)

Not sure what was going on here.  It looked like they were just setting up.
Probably something to do with global warming?

At the north end of the civic center park area is the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, Mark Taper Forum and Ahmanson Theater.  In the area is also this fun water fountain.  We waited for it to spring up but it was set on low while we were there.  We did manage to make the big screen however.

So now we go back to the metro station and take the train to the 7th street station.

California Dreamin' part 20 - Sky High Wizz Kid

Wow !  This place was too cool.  George is now guiding me to the very fancy Intercontinental Hotel.  The lobby is on the 70th floor and the rooms are above that.  You really need to check it out.   Here is the link to the site.

This is the men's room on the 70th floor.  A guy can stand at the window and flash himself taking a wizz.  So funny.  This is the short version.  George filmed the entire thing.  I didn't know until he sent the video.  Too funny.
